Not quite sure if I really enjoyed today or hated it ! First proper session on my 5.5m Best Kahoona. Took a bit of getting used to because it is so fast. Violent gusty wind was a challenge (weather station record showed gusty 16-34). Afterwards I stood for a minute and got readings between 12 and 35mph on the beach. Bar actually got yanked out of my hands a couple of times... Some nice bits of chasing along the front of breaking waves, couple of washing machine episodes in the bigger breakers and lots of just trying to keep it all together over the waves. Power line strop turned out to be about 2" too long so had to hold the bar the whole time to stop it getting out of reach, resulting arm stress forced me in before I'd have liked (ie. others were still out!). Feel much better for the exercise though. Hope the warm weather holds...
